One of our large real estate clients needed a way to present a property portfolio to potential buyers, without it becoming an unmanageable and overbearing document. Dubbed ‘Project Fuse’, the HB team stepped up to the challenge to design and develop a brand-new website to house our client’s portfolio.
The Project Fuse portfolio spanned over 50 industrial properties, each with detailed information, numerous graphs and datapoints, and a suite of images. To create the most user friendly, engaging experience, we proposed a dedicated and bespoke website where potential buyers could easily navigate between properties, accessing details in just a few clicks.
The challenge
Although the information for each property was structured in a similar manner, there were differences in the details included for each. The website needed to be flexible enough to accommodate various types of information – be it graphs, text or images – while keeping a coherent visual language across the whole site and reinforcing the client’s brand messaging.
More information was also going to be added as the project went on, so a content managed website was required to allow the client to update content on demand.
Our solution
Our digital team got to work, defining a structure for the site, and planning the best way to house the content for each property. We looked at the other key pieces that the site would need, such as team and sale information, and buyer introductions, considering how all of this would be interlinked with the rest of the site.
Once we’d highlighted the key site functions and defined the user journey, we produced an interactive mock-up to demonstrate to the client how the site would function when it was built. With everyone happy, the development team took the designs into production.
The result was a slick, easy-to-navigate experience that makes it simple for potential buyers to see each property and find the key information that they are looking for.
The new website was built using a simple content management system, and following a quick training session, our client is now able to update content independently, whenever needed.
